Breaking Things

This is the summer of me breaking things and I hope it’s about through. It seems like once you get in a cycle of things falling apart it just keeps going. Here’s a little list for ya.

2 cell phones, 2 guitar speakers, 1 guitar amp, 1 busted Les Paul head stock. Head ache priceless!!:)

I wish I were rich when things break so I could throw them away and just buy something new. I know, I know I’m really shallow, but you’ve all been there. You know the times in life when it feels like everything is falling apart and you can’t catch a break. Anyone else ever feel like that?

I feel like that frequently actually. For me, it’s more like, pedalboard’s on the fritz, guitar sounds too bassy, monitors are making my tone sound crass, and of course, the various other “real life” problems that seem to creep in and make the situation even worse.

I have a friend that shoes horses and he was going through phones like mad. Apparently they don’t like being dropped in water or stepped on by horses. Anyway, he started using the cheap “go” phones that you can get at Target. You just stick your SIM card in and let your carrier know.

We now have three of them and my sister has one. Half the camp staff where my daughter works have them. I’m still getting used to mine. My sister says it is the best phone they have.

Right now I just feel like everything around me is broken - including myself.

not to be mean, but I’m glad to see someone else has a tendance you smash everything you touch…

although in my case it’s usually me doing the smashing the end and looking back think, ‘what the @#$%%^ was I thinking’….

miss ya bro!!

Ask Laura about me breaking things…it was always in stores, especially where there was a lot of glass! I miss you guys so much, I’m watching the flights for something cheap to Austin! I need to see Laura! It’s been too long!

I have gear problems right now too… my pedalboard has been crapping out intermittently, and my guitars need to be set up, and i need to fix a couple pedals.

every day.
